The Anatomy of Performance

Episode 3: How Does Ben Collins’ Body React to Polestar 5?

Director: MARKUS WETTERBERG
Producer: RICHARD TSALIKIS

In the third episode of The anatomy of performance, professional racing driver and stunt driver Ben Collins, widely known as The Stig from BBC’s Top Gear, takes Polestar 5 out on the track at Portimão. First, he drives with the standard settings. Then he switches to the Performance settings, with quicker throttle response, faster power delivery and firmer suspension. Same car, same circuit, same driver – but a different driving experience.

As Ben puts the two setups to the test, sensors record his brain activity and physiological responses. His own observations are combined with the data to explore how changes to the car affect both the driving experience and the body’s response. His favourite? The Performance settings, of course.
